And your poem looks like a tree.

Our Reality TV Show titled "In the White House" gets more extreme every day. Soap Operas don't have this much plotting.

Darn, those socks!

I don't envy you your weather. Here higher temperatures but rain, lots of rain----better than snow or ice.

How do the Norwegians and Swedish and Danes survive their winters? How Minnesotans? You are hardy souls and often frozen bodies up there. I admire your endurance. And humor.

Re: LXXXIII-14 Disquiet

This is a poem with a couple of meanings----yes, the anthropomorphism of the sea, but also the sea is a metaphor for a human relationship. The second stanza is highly suggestive: I close my eyes, let the rage reverberate in my ears while I breathe deep, long, again and again until I no longer feel y...

Both photographic and suggestive which is poetry----clouds like smoke----and the movement of birds. A quiet poem but like the sky itself you just watch the image formed in your mind by the poem take on its life.

Two aspects of this poem----the elephants singing and genocide. I was thinking maybe the link is the human killing of elephants for tusks and their ivory. I don't think elephants murder their own kind but I'm not a zoologist. How did you think of the elephants and their songs/language(?) ? Interesti...
