Translation (not a train unless you want it to be!)

Postby Crispus » Mon Oct 31, 2011 2:22 pm

Translation

Dogs say
“Woof” and “bow wow”
In America, while
Croation canines say “kaf kaf”.
Who knew?

Hebrew
Dogs bark: “kava”,
While Russians respond “Gaf!”
My Nigerian trainer won’t
Buy it.

Buy it.
You can't go wrong
when you invest in real
property... if you hit hard times,
sell it!

that much
craziness buys
time to wonder who chose
my life - choice, accident, perhaps

red wine,
intense late nights,
strange cigarettes, giggles,
go a long way explaining slips
of tongue

often
thinking moves in
circles, arcs, radii
contemplating life, easier
to circle

circle
unbroken seems
like life itself, cycles.
Birth, living life to it's fullest,
the end.

the end
of connections
with drugs, gangs, poor choices,
opens a door, and a new life
begins

soldiers
retain war's strife
long after engagement
ends, in nightmares, flashbacks, they still
fight on

Demon:
untamed emotion,
panther pacing, erasing
soft sod memories underfoot
seethes

Seething
So much at stake,
Through clinched, white teeth
The loser hides his prickly thorns,
Now smiles

Critics
Dice and splice it,
Nothing very nice, now;
Blood pencil rends vulnerable
Spirit.

spirit
sings without pause
key to heart’s harmony
in times of trauma, loss, her song
returns
